Firstly are you building yourself? ? Theres a wide selection of hardware to choose from, but if you look at bench marks at the moment the ATI 4870 cards are best bang for buck. But the Nvidia 280 cards are coming down in price so i would look at theses also, Pick a good brand, EVGA, BFG,Gigabyte, MSI. as far as motherboards go, id say gigabyte, msi or asus, something with intel chipset P35 maybe, its good and solid. CPU i would way up options for Quad and Duo core intel Chips, AMD has hit a bit of a low in recent years, maybe Q6600, get them cheap nowadays and can overclock like nobodys business, DUO Cores probably the 8500 possibly. Ram go 4gig corsair, geil, ocz g-skill also good. VISTA Is the future, well maybe not but the new windows will support 4gig anyway. Case maybe something Antec, they are cheap and well built. If you want fancy thermaltake. PSU, id say Enermax, Tagan thermaltake possibly. no less than 750w. Hope this helps mate, if you need any advice just hit me up, i spec pc's for people everyday at work, Its my job.

Yeha its a decent spec, dual core if better for COD4 but the quad cores are coming down in price. As for the GPU i would go for the 4870 it beats the 260 in most games and it only 10-12% slower than the 280, I dont see a psu mentioned either? You will need at least 600-700w for that system, i would go for a 750w to be safe. Apart from that all looks fine, good memory and motherboard, i would pick a good case tho, as it will last in years to come. Ive had the same case for 5 years now. Ganjas spec is ok good cpu but would touch the 9600 cards their as good as dead now, and the 400w psu will struggle.
